Haus Steuermann

An island of tranquility

Haus Steuermann is a thatched-roof farmhouse situated in the village Nieblum on the North Sea island of Föhr. Over its 200 year history, the building has housed local fishermen, a bakery and a school.

After extensive renovation in 2015, the building reopened its doors as a pair of luxurious holiday cottages.

Bright, gentle and clear. Under these guiding principles, State developed the visual identity of Haus Steuerman, designing and producing a comprehensive set of stationery to help in the day-to-day running of the business, as well as a thoroughly modern website as an attractive point-of-entry for prospective holiday makers.

The website’s structure mirrors the two wings of the house, creating an intuitive and innovative interface which guides the reader through the features of each cottage without the need for hierarchic menus.

In a nutshell:

The Northsea coast without the cliches. State create the branding for travellers who appreciate subtle architecture and the rough beauty of the Northern seascape.
